The shanghai stock exchange plans to launch steel product futures trading by next month. Steel wires and steel reinforced bars will be the two listed future series. Putting up the steel in the stock market will provide a hedge to the world’s largest steel making country. Standard product for settlement includes steel products from Baosteel and Tangshan. This is part of the reforms to China’s future market. China today is the fastest growing economy in the world today. Opening up of the economy has brought in much prosperity to the region of Shanghai. Today is comparable to any cosmopolitan city in the world.
